‘Backdraft’ Blonde Ale by Firehall Brewery

This beer was made by firemen that should have been fighting fires. I know this due to a complete lack of research and total absence of facts.

Oh Moe!

This beer has the best before date hand-written on it with a sharpie! I don’t know why I like this but I do.

I also don’t know why I like pickle juice, but I do.

The pour is a perfectly clear, honey amber with no head, just a beefy collar. Tiny flecks of lacing.

The smells are simple, floral hops and sweet wheat.

The tastes are pretty much the same, florals and grainy sweetness. Simple and well done.

The mouthfeel is pretty much typical lager-style, light bodied and crushable. Light bitters wash the entire palate, with a good amount of carbonation.

4/5 This is a crushable, every-man kind of drinking beer. This is what ‘regular beer’ should taste like. Lagerboys rejoice!

Captain Everyman!
