The people at Reese’s might have a copyright infringement case here, if they care. I hope they don’t, because this label is pretty damn cool! It’s obviously a take on the Reese’s Peanut butter cups packaging, for those of you that just crawled out from under a rock and decided to visit my blog. Welcome back to humanity! And thanks for dropping by!I didn’t get around to trying this one last year, and apparently I’ve made a huge mistake. Word has it that it’s not as sweet as last years batch, and that bodes well for me, because I’m pretty sure I would not dig a really sweet peanut stout experience. The pour is a deep, murky, black color with a finger of super fine, chocolate brown foam. The foam settled quickly to a good size collar with some tiny flecks of lacing.
The smells are SMOOOTH as fuck! Roastey chocolate and real peanut butter! Oh man… That’s a nice smelling brew.
The tastes are much the same, with milk chocolate and peanut butter as the main focus here. Has some slight sweetness and a bit of a vanilla hit. All in all, this is really tasty. I don’t know if I would want a lot of this, but I’m absolutely loving it at the moment.
The mouthfeel is silky and full, with a fairly heavy body. The flavor of real peanut butter hangs on the palate, well after the beer is gone. Ticklish carbonation.
4.5/5 Shit son! For a gimmicky beer, I am really liking this! The truly amazing part is how well the peanut butter flavor holds up, and is complimentary to the stout. Not too sweet with a rich peanutty palate, find this beer, it’s a winner!
