‘Weekday IPA’ by Rough Draft Brewing Co

image

“Everybody’s working for the weekend”
So.
“Might as well go for a soda”
Because.
“In the end, it doesn’t even matter”

Monday.
“Every other day of the week is fine (fine), yeah
But whenever Monday comes
But whenever Monday comes
You can find me crying all of the time” – The mama’s and the papa’s

"Let's all drink water from a hat, in a pool"..." Why?"... "ART!"

The pour is a slightly opaque light amber with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Good thick lacing. Good looking beer.

Tuesday.
“Train roll on many miles from my home,
See, I’m riding my blues away.
Tuesday, you see, she had to be free
But somehow I’ve got to carry on.” – Lynyrd Skynyrd

There's enough hair in this picture to start up another wigs for cancer establishment.

The smells are strong pine, citrus bitters and grass. Not getting much malt profile. Hop heavy aroma all around.

Wednesday.
“For I know with the first light of dawn
I’ll be leaving,
And tonight will be
All I have left to recall.” – Simon & Garfunkel

It's an epic 'stache too.

The tastes are complex pine and earthy hops over a light caramel and doughy backdrop. Little bit of tropical fruit, herbs, and orange zest . Powerful, but not overbearing at all.

Thursday.
“Seeing my past to let it go
Throw me tomorrow
Only for you I don’t regret
That I was Thursday’s child” – David Bowie

David Bulgey.

The mouthfeel is medium and really smooth, good amount of carbonation. Actually fairly easy-drinking, which is rare for an Ipa.

FRIDAY!
“It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin’ down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend” – Rebecca Black

We so excited. *facepalm*

No surprise that the DUMBEST fucking lyrics came from Rebecca Black.

4/5 I like this. It’s a good lighter Ipa, but not quite an Isa. The pine is kept in check. Has great complexity without becoming too crowded, the individual notes are easily distinguished.

I'll just leave this here.
