*reboot reviews don’t necessarily match my current format*
Another selection from one of my FAVORITE breweries. Two of my favorite beers (Fat tug and naughty Hildegard) are made my these guys, and I love ales so my expectations are high.
First impression, I’m not blown away like I was for tug and Hilde. It’s good, but not a unique explosion of flavors like I anticipated. It’s very mild overall, and has low carbonation.
Flavors of crackers, wheat and nuts. Tight flavor that doesn’t linger. Mild hops (if any are even detectable), very low in the bitter scale. That’s about it.
This beer appears to be the Hawkeye of the bunch. Still a superhero, but not as cool, useful or powerful as the rest of the Avengers. Largely forgettable and unnecessary.
I was expecting more complexity here, as tug and Hilde are highly complicated flavors. I’m disappointed, it’s honestly a bit watery.
I think the flavor is just too vacant here. Sorry Driftwood, I found the ‘dud’ in your catalog. We CAN rebuild it… We have the technology. Or… You do. Probably.

Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.. “- Rick Astley
I just rickrolled y’all via written text.
2.5/5 It doesn’t taste BAD, because it doesn’t really taste at all. They can’t all be zingers.
